I have 2 different recipes for Rum/bourbon balls--I do not know which one you likes--One similar to a cookie, the other candy. Both recipes I use a bit more alcohol then called for as I like the tang of the booze.

Rum Balls-candy:
3 small semi-sweet choc. chips
1 c. condensed milk
combine in pan & over low heat mix and stir until melted--
Remove from heat .
Stir in 3 Tablespoons of Rum and 1/2 teas.. rum extract. Taste and add more rum if desired bu nt too much that ball won't form.
Cover and chill about 3 hrs. Shape into 3/4" balls.
Roll in powdered sugar.

Bourbon Balls
3 c. Finely crushed vanilla wafers--almost on box
2c. powdered sugar
1 c. finely chopped pecans (about 4 oz.)
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. bourbon
1/4 c. light corn syrup
Mix crushed wafers, powdered sugar, pecans and cocoa. Stir in Bourbon and corn syrup. Shape into 1" balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Refrigerate in tightly covered container for several days before serving.
May use Rum or Brandy.

I am not to sure about the frosting.. I think it is a simple powdered sugar, butter, vanilla and milk (cream) mixture that was used.

ENJOY!!
